The project entails the creation of a central business district, transport system, hospitals, schools, and other vital infrastructure. Sustainability is at the forefront of the project, with eco-friendly materials and green technology being used in the construction process as well as implementing ecologically friendly practices. For instance, the protection of ecological assets and resiliency elements such as the Mangrove and Nipa forests as well as the use of geothermal energy.

The Ormoc Mega City Project is set to create new job opportunities and attract significant investment into the region, boosting the local economy and elevating Ormoc’s status to one of the leading cities in the Philippines.
